3 Disinfection Ways For Disposable Surgical Blades

3 Disinfection Ways For Disposable Surgical Blades

Step1 Random grouping

The medical surgical blades were randomly grouped by three methods, that is, high-pressure steam sterilization, boiling disinfection, soaking disinfection, and any of the disinfection methods were sampled 30 times, and the total number of the three groups was 90 times. Ten samples from each group were cultured before disinfection.

Step2 Pre-disinfection sampling

The surgical blades should be washed with sterile gloves and sterile saline. After rinsing, the liquid is poured into the culture tube for bacterial culture. Before and after this, the sterile tube holes should be burned with an alcohol lamp.

Step3 Post-disinfection sampling

The surgical blades were washed first, and then sterilized by autoclaving, boiling and soaking for 30 minutes, respectively. Sterile gloves were put on, sterile saline tablets were used to continue rinsing twice, and then poured away, and the surgical blades were cleaned with 2ml sterile saline. Pour the cleaning solution into the tube and culture it in the bacteria chamber.

Disinfecting effects

The results showed that of the 30 bacterial cultures performed prior to disinfection, 26 were bacterial growths, 86% were positive, and of these, 70% were gram-negative. There was a significant decrease after disinfection. And the three disinfection methods have a certain effect, and the effect of boiling disinfection is very obvious.

Use disposable blades

This experiment was only used to compare the efficacy of disinfecting surgical blades in a factory production environment, but in any case, it is best to use disposable medical surgical blades, and throw them away directly after use.
